10/20/06: Introducing Glacier - Leucistic Male - Day One The day has finally arrived! What a long wait this had been for us. Glacier came to us on a beautiful October night in Northern, Virginia. Although we had a bit of a scare when his plane was delayed in Houston for three hours due to heavy wind along the east coast, but the good news is he arrived safe and sound and in perfect condition. We arrived early and waited for him at the Continental Cargo area. When the clerk finally brought us the shipping container we signed for him and left. Once we got to the car we couldn't wait to check him out and take a look!
Needless to say we were amazed with the beauty of this little guy. The leucistic morph is truly one of the most incredible color morphs ever produced. Here is Glacier taking his first look at Northern, VA. He wasn't real impressed.
During his trip home he was a little crabby at times, but that's very understandable after his long trip. I would have been in a much worse mood then Glacier if my plane had been delayed on the runway for 3 hours! After arriving at home we snapped a few photos of him and interacted with him for a few minutes. We tried offering a few treats and mealies but he wasn't interested.
We then introduced him to his new home and his new gf's came over to check him out. There were a few spats and rude introductions, but overall a very smooth transition. Below is a photo of his new home:

10/21/06: Glacier Day Two - Right at home Glacier's second night was very relaxing and entertaining for him. I was very relieved to see that he decided to sleep with his new gf's last night and was feeling right at home. Tonight he was bouncing all around the cage and playing with all of his toys and vines. The new transition seems to be complete with no crabbing tonight at all. After his long trip he was able to rest nicely. Here he is on his brand new Glider Day Dream's hammock. We have ordered many sets from Karen in the past, but this one is one of our favorites. We love the way he looks up against the purple.
He's found a new favorite toy. Here he is checking things out from his wheel:
